The High Court in Makindye has ruled that Nalongo Rosemary Nantume, one of the wives of cosmetics tycoon Michael Kasawuli, also known as Samona, must move back into their marital home in Kibanga village, Mpigi district.

The court session took place on Tuesday, June 27, and was presided over by Her Worship Ijang Maureen Eunice. Both parties consented to the court’s decision, resulting in an order for Nantume to be allowed to return to her residence.

Furthermore, the court issued a restraining order against Samona and his representatives, preventing them from damaging any trees or plantations within the home.

Following the court’s ruling, John Bosco Mudde, Samona’s lawyer, denied the allegations made against his client, refuting any claims of attempts to force Nantume out of their marital home. Mudde said that Samona has a well-thought-out plan for the welfare of the mother of his children.

About Nantume’s divorce case, Mudde said that she has no valid grounds to seek a divorce, arguing that the couple had never been legally married despite the presence of wedding photographs circulating in the media.

Last month, Nantume publicly disclosed that Samona had forcefully evicted her from their residence in Kibanga village, located in the Mpigi district. In response, she filed for a divorce, accusing Samona of both illegal eviction and employing bodyguards to prevent her from accessing the property. She also claimed that her plantations were destroyed by Samona’s agents.

Nantume is a mother of seven children, two of whom were confirmed to be born outside of their marriage.
