Four siblings have been arrested by the police in Wakiso district for the murder of their brother, Namwanja Aloysius, also known as Kawunyemu, aged 27. The incident happened in Lulagala cell, Kavule ward, within Nansana Municipality on August 26.

According to Fred Enanga, the police spokesperson, the victim’s own family members, identified as Kawuki Isaac, Namubiru Margret, Bisaso Tonny (aged 16), and Tamale Fred (aged 17), accused Namwanja Aloysius of neglecting to appease the family’s dark spirits. These dark spirits were believed to be responsible for various misfortunes plaguing the family.

The situation escalated when the accused siblings allegedly assaulted Namwanja Aloysius with sticks, resulting in his immediate death. Following the fatal attack, they reportedly set his body ablaze.
