Mugoye, during his tenure this year, played an instrumental role in East Africa’s successful bid to host the AFCON 2027. He was selected by the Federation to be part of an eight-member committee responsible for overseeing the Pamoja bid, which ultimately secured the hosting rights for the prestigious African football event.

Outside his role at FUFA, Mugoye served as the proprietor of the lower division side, St. Mary’s New Hope FC. The club competes in the Lower Division, and it is affiliated with St. Mary’s SS in Nabweru, where Mugoye held the position of Director.
