The highly anticipated NyegeNyege event has already checked one day off its four-day calendar as revellers thronged Jinja in large numbers yesterday to kick off their party marathon.

Smirnoff has already delivered on its promise to let the revellers “do them” with its theme this year being, “We do We”.

Smirnoff has nestled this theme in its stage set-up by exuding color, art and music at its stage this year.

The Smirnoff stage stands out from the crowd as it’s tucked right in the utmost corner of the NyegeNyege campus, bordering the actual source of the Nile itself.

The Smirnoff enjoyments wonderland is an orbit that evolves around an open grass thatched storied house with the main stage being behind the thatched structure while the front provides the perfect backdrop of what the brand is all about.

The front section imitates an outdoor pub setup, with a branded tunnel and lifesize neon 3D lettering of the brand’s name off which revellers can take pictures to remember for ages.

The front compound setting bursts with flavor and color with Chinese balloons, dangling ribbons and colorful cloth hanging off strings giving off the illusion of flying confetti.

Being a beverage brand , the Smirnoff stage has pop up bars set up in each and every corner of it’s mini campus, all swathed in the brand’s colorful branding.

The nucleus of this wonderland is a grass thatched storied “hut” in which the brand’s core activity lies.

On it’s ground floor, a DJs booth keeps revellers dancing with the latest in the music world as stars, presenters and staff of NRG radio ensure the vibes policy keeps at the required energy levels.

Upstairs, the artists, fashion designers and all those that have a much more artsy approach to life have chance to live out their own truth with a pop up tattoo studio and fashion booths to define the space.

From this floor, you get a bird’s eye view of the backyard in which an imposing main stage glows, being the major most difference between the front of the storied structure and the back of it.

The skies at the backyard cum stage area are filled with color as strings running from the storied house to the main stage are also filled with Chinese balloons, confetti and ribbons of vibrant color.

With only a day checked off the calendar, Smirnoff has already set the party spirit right and the bar too high, the “competition” must now think on its toes.

NyegeNyege still has three more days on its calendar and the party has only just gotten started.
