Jonathan Kyeyo, a American based Ugandan, famous for breaking the boundaries in the entertainment industry, as the man who gave comedy face value in the early 2000s, has partnered with Events and experiential marketing gurus- Solomon Mayanja and Ssemakula Samuel, of Humble Management, on a fintech venture.

Kyeyo, now a Network engineer, teamed up with the Humble Management team to create a ticketing software that will improve and ease the event ticketing experience.

Recognizing the potential impact of their innovation, the trio strategically sought out a partnership with Next Media Services, the parent company of prominent brands such as NBS TV, Next Radio, and Sanyuka TV. After thorough discussions and assessments, an acquisition deal was finalized, marking a significant milestone for the newly formed collaboration.

Semakula Samuel expressed excitement about the collaboration and the transformative ticketing platform they have developed.

“We’ve created a ticketing platform that we believe will redefine event ticketing in Uganda. We are pleased that Next Media recognized its potential and chose to acquire shares in the company. The product will now be rebranded, and the new name will be unveiled soon,” Semakula remarked.

Joe Kigozi, the Deputy Group CEO of Next Media, highlighted the strategic importance of the acquisition for the organization.

“Innovation is a core element of our strategy to understand market trends and shape the future. This acquisition aligns with our long-term goal of addressing challenges and transforming the entertainment industry through innovative solutions, creating a better experience for eventgoers,” Kigozi explained.

Kigozi emphasized the growth of the events business in Uganda and the role such innovations play in shaping its future. “This acquisition positions us to navigate the evolving landscape of the events industry, offering innovative solutions that enhance the overall experience for our audience,” he added.

Danze Edwin, Chief Marketing Officer at Next Media, shed light on the broader impact of the ticketing solution.

“The solution we’re introducing to the market isn’t just a ticketing platform; it’s an experience platform. The solution is here to exemplify what great hospitality is supposed to be,” Edwin stated.

The acquisition comes at a time of continued success for Humble Management, following their recent takeover of the execution of the renowned Coke Musical brand, Coke Studio.

As Next Media Services integrates this innovative ticketing solution into its portfolio, it anticipates contributing to the transformation and advancement of the entertainment industry in Uganda.
