Man sent to prison for stealing meat

A 30-year-old man has been charged and sent on remand at Luzira Prison for allegedly stealing meat worth Shs200,000.

Sserwadda Issa charged before Buganda Road Court grade one magistrate Caroline Kyoshabire who read to him a theft charge and denied it. Sserwadda is a resident of Makindye Kirundu zone.

Prosecution alleges that on November 28, 2023, in Muzaana zone in Kampala central, Sserwadda broke into a butcher belonging to Kato Sembatya and stole meat valued at Shs220,000.
