Busega Police are stranded with a baby girl whom they found abandoned in a trench in Busega.

Beside the baby was a note, supposedly left by the mother, who identified herself as Atuhaire Brenda. The baby is named Namankuru Zainab.

According to the note, the distressed mother claims that she and the baby are homeless after the baby’s father refused to take care of them.

She alleges to have sought help from the police, but she was not assisted. Additionally, the baby was sick, and she had no money to take the baby to the hospital.

It is the extent of misery that compelled her to abandon her baby, according to the note.
