The ongoing 2023 AFCON has unfolded as one of the most captivating tournaments in its history, with unpredictability reigning supreme among the competing teams.

As the prestigious tournament enters the quarterfinal stage, set to kick off this Friday, the matchups promise intense battles. Nigeria is set to face Angola, DR Congo will take on Guinea, Mali will square off against hosts Ivory Coast, and Cape Verde is geared up to play against South Africa.

There is a series of photos that sum up the action so far in Ivory Coast, but these are the most trending.

This was taken last night and is going viral. When South Africa scored the late second goal against Morocco, the Bafana Bafana players decided to do Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘ice-cold’ celebration.
