The Minister for Transport and Works, General Edward Katumba Wamala, has expressed concern about the increasing indiscipline among Government Vehicles, which are driving on the wrong side of roads and encroaching on recently planted green belts by KCCA.

The minister cited a recent incident where a driver damaged newly installed grids, questioning if the individual was intoxicated.

Katumba is now urging individuals with smartphones to capture photos of these offenders and share them with him. This proactive approach, he believes, will enable swift action against the errant drivers.

Katumba emphasizes that such violations not only endanger road safety but also undermine public trust in the government, as these behaviours set a negative example for other drivers.

The minister is optimistic that active public involvement will play a crucial role in combating these reckless violations and fostering a sense of responsibility on the roads.
