Police in Masindi have arrested Nelson Okecha, aged 28, a resident of Nyakabaale village in Kibibira parish in Kiruli sub-county, for allegedly killing his father, Mansi Omwoch.

Omwoch, aged 68, was the Local Council One Chairperson of Nyakabaale village.

The police preliminary report indicates that on Saturday, Omwoch called a family meeting at his home to address the issue of his son, Okecha, who was suspected of stealing solar panels.
