Victoria University’s July intake is on: Here is a step-by-step guide on how to apply

Victoria University has three intakes annually and they are now welcoming applicants for the upcoming July intake. If you are considering joining this esteemed institution, here is a comprehensive guide to the application process:

Step 1: Fill out the Application Form

Begin your journey by completing the application form available on Victoria University’s official website www.vu.ac.ug. Make sure to provide accurate and complete information to avoid any delays in your application process.

Some of the requirements for Ugandan undergraduate students include a copy of a diploma transcript if applicable, copies of UACE and UCE results slips, a copy of a national ID/passport/birth certificate and two passport photos.

Foreign undergraduate students are required to have a copy of a diploma certificate if applicable from the National Council of Higher Education, a copy of equated certificate if applicable from NCHE, a copy of equated secondary certificate from UNEB, a copy of a national ID/passport/birth certificate.

Step 2: Prompt for Payment

After submitting the application form, you will receive a payment prompt on your phone. The application fee is UGX 50,000 for Ugandan applicants and UGX 60,000 for international students. Complete this payment promptly to proceed to the next stage of the application.

Step 3: Application Review

Your application will be reviewed only after the payment of the application fee. This review process ensures that all initial requirements are met.

Step 4: Further Instructions

Following the initial review, successful candidates will may be required to pay an additional fee of UGX 200,000 for Ugandans and Shs235,000 for international students, as the admission fee. Additionally, you might need to provide any missing documents or make necessary changes to your submitted documents.

Step 5: Admission Decision

Victoria University prides itself on a swift and efficient admissions process. You can expect to receive your admission letter within a day or two after your application has been reviewed. If the process takes longer than expected, do not hesitate to contact the admissions office for immediate assistance.
