Ugandans on social media, specifically on X (formerly Twitter), are bidding farewell to Senior Commissioner of Police (SCP) Fred Enanga with a mix of humor and praise. Enanga, who was on Sunday reshuffled to become the Deputy Director of Interpol-Uganda, has been the police spokesperson for nearly seven years.

While some have comically highlighted what they will miss about him, others have applauded his service.

Kyagulanyi Kabanda jokingly referred to Enanga as “The Greatest Liar of All Time (GLOAT),” while Mirember Joel praised his confidence in delivering “staged scripts.”

Maxi Tinka humorously recalled Enanga’s infamous reference to a drone as a “kamunyenye.” Malimbe Eugene noted his ability to “lie without offending anyone.”

On the other hand, Nyakabwa Joseph commended Enanga’s exceptional communication skills, saying he was “a good communicator and exuded confidence uncommon with most spokespersons in the Police Force.”

Owaa Olang praised Enanga as “the most calm and composed PRO not only of Ugandan police but security agencies as a whole,” adding that he admires his PR skills.

Enanga, an economist by profession, joined the police force in 2001 after graduating from Makerere University with a degree in Social Sciences. He will assume his new role as Deputy Director of Interpol-Uganda effective immediately.
