Former headmaster of St. Peter’s College, Joseph Olokojo, has died following an attack by unknown assailants. Olokojo, aged 63, was a resident of Obore Village in Tororo Municipality.

The police’s preliminary report indicates that the attackers broke into Olokojo’s residence around midnight. He attempted to escape but was overpowered by the assailants, who doused him in petrol before setting him on fire.

The screams alerted residents, who entered his house and rushed him to St. Anthony Hospital in Tororo. His condition deteriorated, and he was transferred to Mbale Regional Referral Hospital. Due to the severe burns, the regional referral hospital decided to move him to Mulago National Referral Hospital, but he was pronounced dead en route to Kampala.
