Rising talent Divine Mukasa has taken a significant step in his football career by signing his first professional contract with Manchester City.

The Ugandan-English midfielder, who joined City from West Ham United just a year ago, has made an impressive impact in youth football, capturing back-to-back FA Youth Cup titles with two different teams—West Ham in 2023 and Manchester City in 2024.

Mukasa, a left-footed player with outstanding technical ability, is known for his composure on the ball and exceptional vision. His game intelligence and calm demeanour allow him to make smart decisions under pressure, earning him admiration from coaches and fans alike.

Versatility is a key asset for Mukasa; though primarily left-footed, he’s comfortable using his right, often taking corners with both feet—a testament to his refined technique and control.

Beyond his technical skills, Mukasa possesses a unique combination of strength, height, and agility, which enhances his on-field presence. His sharp tactical awareness and precise execution have already seen him represent England at the U-15, U-17, and U-18 levels, though he remains eligible to play for England, Uganda, or Lithuania at the senior level.

This past off-season, Mukasa deepened his connection to his roots by spending ten days in Uganda, his father’s homeland, with his family.

Born in England to Laima Mukasa, an Englishwoman, and Sam Mukasa, his Ugandan father, Divine Mukasa’s journey is just beginning as he navigates his way through the ranks of professional football.
