Police Constable Alex Adia, attached to the Counter Terrorism Tactical Unit, shot his ex-wife dead at Naguru Police Barracks.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire, the incident occurred on Sunday at around 8 pm.

“We have arrested Adi Alex, and he is detained at Jinja Road Police Station,” Owoyesigire said, revealing that they are investigating why the officer shot the woman.

In a separate shooting incident in Ntinda, an argument between two individuals escalated, resulting in one person being shot.

The suspect, Ekwaru Emmanuel, a security guard with Guarder World Security Group and resident of Banda, allegedly shot Almadri David, a 30-year-old worker from Village 14, Ntinda Parish, in the right hand.

Following a swift police response, the victim was rushed to Naguru China Hospital. “We recovered the gun and arrested the suspect,” Owoyesigire stated.
