United Bank for Africa Uganda (UBA Uganda) has refuted claims of having a “management crisis,” as alleged by various news sites.

In a statement issued by Hoziana Niyonsaba, the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at United Bank for Africa Uganda Limited, she stated that the bank embraces progress and appreciates good performance.

“We confirm that Mrs. Chioma A. Mang, the immediate former Managing Director/CEO of UBA Uganda Limited, has been elevated with greater group responsibility, effective October 1, 2024,” Hoziana said in the statement.
