Today marks ‘Sheebah Karungi’s Day’ as she prepares to host her Nenyanzi Concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval to celebrate 15 years in the music industry.

In a recent interview, Sheebah stated that 80% of her achievements in life have come from music, while the remaining 20% is also connected to her relationships within the industry.

Sheebah, who joined the industry as a teenager aspiring to be a dancer, has made a significant mark on the entertainment scene, not only through her musical catalog but also through her business ventures that have transformed her into a multi-hyphenate. Her projects are grouped under ‘Sheebah Establishment.’

In this article, let’s take a look at Sheebah, the business mogul.

The Music Business

Sheebah rose to prominence through her music career, which has allowed her to build arguably the biggest brand among Ugandan female musicians. According to sources exclusive to this website, Sheebah is currently one of the highest-paid musicians in the industry, allegedly earning over Shs 30 million in show revenue each month before shows and concerts were halted.

Hair Extension Business

The first hip-hop billionaire in history, Jay-Z, achieved this milestone by diversifying his revenue streams over the years. Sheebah, back home, must have observed and learned from the Roc Nation mogul, as she too has become a serial investor in various ventures. In 2018, she launched a hair extension business at The Prism next to the E-Tower building in Kampala. The musician partnered with a company called Natna to create the brand, Sheebah by Natna. Sheebah explained that she started the business to provide people who cannot afford hairpieces worth Shs 1 million with quality alternatives at a more accessible price.

Sanitary Pads

In 2020, Sheebah, a dedicated feminist with a focus on the girl child, launched a sanitary pad brand called Holic Pads. The brand name was inspired by her fanbase, known as Sheebaholics. While the name reflects her fans, she emphasized that the pads were intended for all women. In a recent interview, Sheebah explained why the pads are no longer on the market, stating she is in negotiations with a non-governmental organization (NGO) to begin manufacturing them in Uganda for distribution to NGOs.

Multi-Billion Apartments

The former TNS singer, who already owns a five-bedroom house in Munyonyo named Sheebah’s Queendom, is reportedly in the final stages of completing multi-billion apartments in Bwebajja along Entebbe Road. This marks Sheebah’s newfound passion for real estate, as she dreams of building more rental properties and apartments in and around the city.

Red Events

During her 31st birthday celebration four years ago, Sheebah launched several business ventures, including Red Events. In a statement, she remarked, “Today, I am also officially opening my new venture, Red Events. As an entertainer, I always want to make people happy and see them enjoying life.”

Brand Endorsements

As one of the leading female brands in the country, it’s no surprise that numerous companies seek to affiliate themselves with her. Sheebah has secured multi-million endorsement deals dating back to the days of the now-defunct Africell and her partnership with Natna Hair.

Karma Boat

The ‘Malidadi’ singer owns luxurious boats available for bookings for lavish parties and boat rides.
