Kampala gears up for a night of praise, worship, and celebration with global gospel stars

Kampala is set to experience a night of praise, worship, and celebration with the highly anticipated Rockfest UG 2024, an annual Christian music festival that brings together international and local gospel music stars for an uplifting experience.

Scheduled for Friday, November 8, 2024, at Lugogo Hockey Grounds, the event promises to be a powerful gathering for believers from all walks of life.

Rockfest, a global Christian music festival, has already made waves in cities like Lagos, Freetown, Accra, and even across Europe in the Netherlands and the UK.

This year, Kampala joins the list, providing Ugandans with an opportunity to participate in this God-inspired celebration. Rockfest is known not only for its amazing lineup of gospel artists but also for its message of unity, transcending barriers of tribe, denomination, or language as attendees come together to worship as one.

This edition of Rockfest UG will feature renowned gospel artists, each bringing their own unique sound and powerful message:

Judikay (Judith Kanayo Opara): Known for her soulful music and infectious personality, Judikay has blessed the world with hits like “More than Gold,” “Capable God,” and “Man of Galilee.” Her joyful spirit and passion for worship make her a highly anticipated performer at Rockfest UG 2024.

Frank Edwards (Frank Ugochukwu Edwards): A legend in the gospel music industry, Frank Edwards is not just a singer but also a songwriter, producer, and record label executive. He has touched hearts with songs like “Mighty Ebube,” “Nothing Impossible,” and “Under the Canopy.” His powerful worship songs have made him a household name across Africa and beyond.

Ada Ehi (Ada Ogochukwu Ehi): Returning to Uganda after her last performance in 2022, Ada Ehi is back by popular demand. Known for her inspiring songs like “Only You Jesus,” “You Are Able,” and “Congratulations,” Ada’s music has impacted listeners around the world, radiating joy and faith.

Joining these international stars are some of Uganda’s finest gospel artists, who will be gracing the stage and representing the vibrant Ugandan gospel music scene.

Rockfest UG 2024, organized by Spirit Events, will be held at Lugogo Hockey Grounds. Tickets are priced at Shs30,000 for Standard and Shs150,000 for VIP access.
