Absa Bank Uganda rewards loyal customers with Shs100 million in card usage campaign

Absa Bank Uganda has awarded cash prizes totaling Shs100 million to 10 lucky winners in its ongoing “UGX 200 Million Can Change Your Story” card usage campaign.

This initiative, which runs through December 31, 2024, is designed to encourage customers to embrace the convenience of cashless payments while underscoring Absa’s commitment to customer-centric banking through its new brand promise, “Your Story Matters.”

To qualify, customers simply needed to use their Absa debit or credit cards for at least five transactions from September to October 2024. Each monthly winner walks away with Shs10 million, a reward for choosing the seamless convenience of digital payments for their everyday purchases—whether in-store, online, or for subscriptions, travel, and more.

David Wandera, Absa’s Executive Director and Head of Markets, highlighted the bank’s goal of enhancing customer experience through technology-driven solutions.

“It is a pleasure to reward our customers for choosing convenience with our seamless banking solutions. I encourage more customers to embrace card usage in their daily transactions, offering both security and flexibility,” he said.

All Absa cardholders are eligible to participate in the campaign, with five monthly winners selected based on their transaction activity. The campaign’s structure is simple: make five purchases with an Absa card, and you could be the next Shs10 million winner.

Among the recent winners was Mr. Allan Tusuubira, who expressed his excitement at being rewarded for his loyalty to Absa.

“I am thrilled to be a winner in Absa’s card usage campaign. I regularly use my debit card for daily transactions, and it’s wonderful to see my efforts rewarded. I encourage fellow customers to keep using their cards—you could be next!” he said.

With Shs100 million still up for grabs, Wandera encouraged customers to continue using their Absa cards, emphasizing the convenience Absa’s payment solutions provide through widespread acceptance across various business locations. He also assured customers that the bank prioritizes security, with robust cybersecurity measures in place to protect their financial information.

The “Shs200 Million Can Change Your Story” campaign will run until the end of December, continuing to promote the ease and security of digital payments and Absa’s commitment to customer satisfaction and innovation.
