Ugandan music icon Bebe Cool is giving his fans an early Christmas treat with the announcement of Circumference, the first single from his much-awaited album, Break The Chains.

The track is set to release this Friday, December 13, across major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Boomplay, and Audiomack.

The announcement was made during a press conference at Next Media Park in Naguru on Monday evening.

Circumference is produced by renowned Nigerian hitmaker PhilKeyz, celebrated for his work on hits like Lie and Cough with Kizz Daniel.

The single promises a fusion of Afrobeats’ vibrant rhythms with a fresh, innovative sound designed to elevate Ugandan music onto the global stage.

Bebe Cool expressed his enthusiasm for redefining musical boundaries and taking his artistry to the next level. Speaking at the event, he addressed skeptics with confidence:

“If anyone is out there asking, ‘Why now?!’ Let me make this very clear: I’ve got nothing to prove. Not politically. Not culturally. Not financially. And certainly not musically. I’m doing this purely because I love it. I’ve challenged myself to push boundaries with a new sound and professionalism that sets the bar where it should be.”

The award-winning artist also highlighted his mission to set a new benchmark for the Ugandan music industry, which he noted has faced criticism this year for lacking creativity.

“This is an exciting time for the Ugandan music industry because I’m here to redefine what it means to be an African music legend,” he declared.

Bebe Cool’s upcoming album, Break The Chains, is being hailed as a bold new chapter in his storied career. Much like his groundbreaking Go Mama album, which experimented with soft rock and ska, fans can expect a showcase of creative diversity and global appeal. Circumference serves as a preview of this innovative direction.

To make the release even more accessible, Bebe Cool announced that fans can pre-save or pre-add the track to their playlists via a scannable QR code.
