Rising Ugandan star Allan Oyirwoth has officially signed with Major League Soccer (MLS) club New England Revolution. The 17-year-old midfielder inked a four-year contract, with an option to extend for an additional year, signaling the club’s confidence in his potential.

Oyirwoth, a product of Uganda’s rich footballing talent pool, has already made his mark on the international stage. He earned two caps for the senior Uganda Cranes, debuting in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Somalia and later featuring in a friendly match against Kuwait last year. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in helping the Uganda Hippos (U20) secure a silver medal at the All Africa Games in Ghana in 2024, showcasing his talent on the continental stage.

New England Revolution head coach Caleb Porter expressed enthusiasm about Oyirwoth’s arrival, highlighting the midfielder’s immense potential.
“Allan is a talented young midfielder with tremendous upside, and I’m thrilled to help him grow,” Porter said. “At just 17, he combines exceptional technical ability with an athletic profile that suits MLS perfectly. With the right development in our system, I’m confident he can evolve into a key player for our first team.”
