Speke Resort Munyonyo, Uganda’s premier resort, is extending its commitment to cleanliness beyond its luxurious interiors. This morning, the resort’s staff held a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) cleaning drive in the surrounding community, reinforcing their dedication to environmental sustainability.

Led by the General Manager, Mr. Akilesh Malik, the staff actively participated in the clean-up exercise aimed at enhancing hygiene, reducing waste, and promoting a cleaner, healthier environment. The initiative saw employees armed with brooms, gloves, and garbage bags as they worked together to clear litter, sweep streets, and dispose of waste responsibly. Their collaborative efforts not only improved the surroundings but also served as an inspiration for the local community to embrace cleanliness.

“We have managed to clean most areas around the resort, which is a great achievement, and all of you should be proud of yourselves,” Mr. Malik stated. “This is just the beginning. We want to do more of this and ensure the area around the resort remains as clean as it is on the inside. I want to thank you all for taking time off your busy schedules to join us in this cause.”
