Every year, on February 22, cocktail lovers across the globe raise their glasses to celebrate the iconic margarita, a drink that has stood the test of time as the ultimate blend of tequila, lime, and triple sec.

From rooftop bars in New York to sun-kissed beaches in Mexico, the world comes alive with margarita-fueled festivities, and this year, Kampala is taking things up a notch! Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) is set to lead the celebrations in style, bringing the party to The Alchemist in Bugolobi this Saturday, February 22nd.

The celebrations, which will kick off at 4 p.m., promise an electrifying evening filled with music, partying, and the all-time favorite—Don Julio cocktails in plenty.

As margaritas take center stage, partygoers will have the chance to indulge in both unique and timeless cocktails crafted exclusively for the night.

Simon Lapyem, the Innovations Manager at UBL, couldn’t be more excited about how Ugandans have embraced tequila culture, saying, “Don Julio has become the drink of choice for celebrations, and we love how Ugandans are making tequila a part of their unforgettable moments. This Saturday, we are bringing an immersive experience that goes beyond just the drink and the lifestyle. It’ll be about making a long-lasting memory with friends on a night out. See you all this Saturday!”

What’s a margarita party without great music? The DJ lineup is set to keep the energy high all night long, with some of Kampala’s hottest DJs spinning the best beats. Expect an electrifying fusion of Afrobeat, house, and reggaeton to keep the vibes flowing as partygoers sip and celebrate.

Of course, the celebrations wouldn’t be complete without bottles of Don Julio tequila available at exclusive discounts, making it the perfect opportunity to stock up on luxury tequila for your next soirée.

Whether you’re a longtime margarita lover or just looking for an excuse to sip on something sensational, The Alchemist is the place to be this World Margarita Day.
