Singer Vinka returns with a fresh release, “Sirubala,” a high-energy dancehall track that perfectly captures her signature sound and vibrant style.

Written by Yese Oman Rafiki and produced by Bangar Boi, “Sirubala” tells the passionate story of a woman deeply in love, unable to go a day without thinking about the man who holds her heart.

The track’s polished production is complemented by Marvin Musoke’s direction of the music video, while Steve Keys ensures a flawless mix and master.

Swangz Avenue dominates Spotify Wrapped 2025 as Ugandan music surges

This release follows the success of the Swangz All Star Album, a project launched in November 2024, featuring some of Uganda’s music stars, including Vinka. The album reinforced Swangz Avenue’s dominance in the East African music industry, with Vinka’s standout performances on tracks like “Amin Dada” and “Wedding” receiving widespread acclaim.

Over the past four years, Vinka has solidified her reputation as one of Uganda’s most consistent artists, dropping back-to-back good songs such as “Bailando,” “All Over You,” “Thank God,” “Batuleke,” and “Chekecha.” Her unique fusion of Afropop and dancehall, coupled with her dynamic performances, has made her a highly sought-after artist across the region.

Her journey from a backup dancer to artist manager and now an internationally recognized musician is truly inspiring. Since signing with Sony Music Entertainment in 2019, Vinka has expanded her global reach, collaborating with international artists like Inna on the hit song “Bebe.”

In October 2023, she was named a Spotify EQUAL Africa Ambassador, further cementing her influence as a trailblazing female artist pushing boundaries in the African music industry.

“Sirubala” is now available on all major streaming platforms, with the official music video ready for fans to watch on YouTube.
