Police in Kenya have arrested a man for illegally setting up his own police station in Uasin Gishu village without the knowledge or authorization of the National Police Service (NPS).

According to local media reports, the suspect, Collins Leitich, a a resident of Asis Village in Ndugulu, went to great lengths to make his unauthorized police post appear legitimate. He reportedly set up a patrol base inside a building, painted it in official police colors, and created the illusion of an operational security facility and named it, Cheboror Police Patrol Base.

Local authorities uncovered the unauthorized station and immediately launched investigations. The suspect was arrested, and police have assured residents that appropriate action will be taken as investigations continue.
