Veteran singer Kabuye Ssembogga set for 42-year celebration concert at Serena Hotel

Veteran Ugandan musician Kabuye Ssembogga is set to celebrate 42 years in the music industry with a grand concert at Kampala Serena Hotel on May 23, 2025.

The event, organized by Balunywa Promotions, promises an unforgettable night of music, featuring an all-star lineup and classy production.

Speaking at a press conference held on March 19, 2025, at Kampala Serena Hotel, Juma Balunywa, the representative of Balunywa Promotions, described the upcoming show as a historic moment for Ugandan music.

He noted that the concert would honor Kabuye Ssembogga’s rich musical legacy by delivering an authentic, high-quality live performance experience.

During the press conference, Kabuye Ssembogga promised fans a live-band performance featuring his greatest hits, including “Ebisanyi,” “Kangume,” “Sheila,” and “Fahima.”

He stated that the concert would be a nostalgic journey through his four-decade career and an opportunity for fans to relive some of Uganda’s most iconic songs.

Joining him on stage will be some of Uganda’s biggest music stars, including: Aziz Azion, Betty Mpologoma, Mesach Ssemakula, Geoffrey Lutaaya, and Bruno K.

Balunywa Promotions assured fans that the concert would feature top-tier production with state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and stage design to create an immersive experience.

The organizers also confirmed that a full live band would accompany the performances, ensuring an authentic and rich musical delivery.

The press conference was attended by several industry figures, including Mesach Ssemakula, Aziz Azion, Bruno K, Abbey Mukiibi, Biggie Events, and Joanita Kawalya, alongside members of the media. The attending artists expressed their excitement about the upcoming event, describing it as a much-needed tribute to one of Uganda’s greatest musical icons.

The organizers revealed that tickets will soon be available at select outlets, with further details to be announced. Standard Ticket will go for Shs150,000 while a table for 8 is priced at Shs3,000,000.
