ICEA LION joins Masaka School for the Deaf to celebrate 20 years of impact

On Saturday, 22nd March 2025, ICEA LION joined Masaka School for the Deaf in celebrating its 20th anniversary. This occasion marked two decades of dedication and transformative impact in the lives of deaf children across Uganda. As proud partners, ICEA LION joined Masaka School for the Deaf in commemorating this significant occasion, re-affirming the company’s commitment to ensuring access to quality education for all.

The team led by the Chief Executive Officer of ICEA LION Life Assurance- Emmanuel Mwaka and Chief Operating Officer- Anne Njeri, had the honor of meeting Her Royal Highness Queen Sylvia Nagginda, the Nnaabagereka of Buganda during the celebrations.

ICEA LION recognizes that true empowerment goes beyond words. The company has been a steadfast partner of Masaka School for the Deaf, supporting their netball team with essential resources and providing scholastic materials to ensure every student has the tools to learn. Through this collaboration, ICEA LION has become a pillar of support, re-enforcing the institution’s mission to nurture and educate children with hearing impairments.

The 20th-anniversary celebration served as a moment to reflect on the countless lives impacted, the barriers broken and the future possibilities unlocked through education and partnership. It highlighted the power of collaboration in building a society where every voice- spoken or signed is heard, valued, and empowered.
