Victoria University Kampala (VU) is offering a lifeline to students who may not have attained top grades in their 2024 UACE exams with their, skill-based courses accredited by the Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB).

Recognizing that many students face financial challenges or struggle within a system that prioritizes grades over practical skills, VU’s hands-on certificate programs designed to equip learners with real-world competencies. These courses ensure that regardless of O-Level or A-Level performance, students can acquire valuable skills that enhance their employability.

“We have identified a pressing issue: Many students’ futures are compromised by financial hurdles or an overemphasis on grades at O & A level. Some graduates even leave university without the necessary skills to thrive in the workforce. To bridge this gap, we are offering UBTEB-accredited certificate programs that focus on practical knowledge and skill development,” the university announced.
