Nation Media Group (NMG) has appointed media personality Flavia Tumusiime as its new Head of Broadcast, a strategic role overseeing the company’s television and radio platforms, including NTV Uganda, Spark TV, KFM, and Dembe FM.

The 36-year-old broadcaster takes on the role at a pivotal time for NMG, which is undergoing internal restructuring and revitalization efforts. The position was created following the scrapping of the General Manager TV role, previously held by Johnson Omollo. Tumusiime is reported to have actively pursued the opportunity following Omollo’s departure.

Flavia, who holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business, brings a wealth of experience to the role, having built a successful career across both radio and television. She began her media journey at the age of 14 as the host of “Teen’s Club” on WBS TV. At 18, she transitioned to radio, working at Hot100FM before joining Capital FM in 2006. Her career later took her to Channel O, where she spent several years gaining exposure.

In 2015, she joined NTV Uganda under NMG, anchoring the news and hosting the popular morning show. After stepping away from the station in 2021, she continued her radio work, most recently hosting “Desert Island Discs” on Capital FM.

Flavia’s return to the NMG family comes amid efforts to reenergize its broadcast division, particularly with the relaunch of Dembe FM after a temporary shutdown.
