A 30-year-old shop attendant in Muramba Sub-county, Kisoro District, is currently receiving treatment at Kisoro Hospital after being shot and robbed by unidentified assailants.

Kenneth Mucunguzi, who works at the shop of businessman Michael Turinayo in Mugomberero Trading Centre, was attacked on Tuesday at around 8:00 p.m. by four armed men. The assailants reportedly shot him in the arm before fleeing with approximately Shs23 million in cash.

Elly Maate, the Police Spokesperson for the Kigezi region, confirmed the incident and revealed that police recovered nine cartridges from the scene. He added that investigations are ongoing and efforts are being intensified to track down and apprehend the suspects.
