Loise Nakayenga lit up the evening with a soulful piano performance, during the second edition of the “Piano Evenings” series held at Speke Resort Munyonyo on Friday, May 16, 2025.
Dubbed ‘Louise Nakayenga and Friends Live in Concert,’ and hosted by media entrepreneur Dr. Ronnie Mich Egwang, the event drew a distinguished audience that enjoyed a rich mix of classical music and poetry in a truly unique listening experience.
With I&M Bank as one of the key partners, the show brought together a talented lineup, led by Nakayenga, who moved the audience with her emotional and soulful performance.
Nakayenga was joined by fellow pianists Paul Luggya, known for his heartfelt melodies, and Jimmy Ssenkusu, who blended tradition with a modern touch to captivate the crowd.

Asiku Asiku showcased his A-game with the tube fiddle and harp, bringing powerful vocals and vibrant energy to the stage. Topacho added rhythm and depth on the drums, while Evangel Gimadu played both the cello and violin with elegance. Dickson Nsubuga supported the ensemble on double bass, grounding the performances with rich, deep tones.
Beverley Nambozo Nsengiyunva on the other hand delivered stirring poetry, and Hannah Grace Nyombi lent her voice to the mix, adding a gentle vocal layer to the evening.

The event attracted notable figures such as the Nnabagereka Sylvia Nagginda, Buganda Kingdom officials, leaders in various fields, as well as lovers of classical and traditional music and poetry.

The next edition of Piano Evenings will take place in a few months, at a venue that is yet to be disclosed.
