Plans are currently underway to repatriate the body of Cedric Babu Ndilima, a media personality, sports administrator, and political leader, who passed away at the age of 49. Cedric died on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya, following struggle with severe heart failure.

Cedric, who served as the Vice Chairman for Kampala in the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), is expected to be returned to Uganda midweek. According to Michael Mawanda, the PLU’s Director of Mobilisation, the body is likely to arrive on Wednesday or Thursday. Final funeral arrangements will proceed once the exact date of return is confirmed.

The family has released a tentative funeral programme beginning Sunday, June 1.
