Nearly five years after the 2021 elections, residents of Mityana Municipality are still caught up in the drama surrounding former MP aspirant Abraham Luzzi—this time, over loaves of bread and a motorcycle.
During his campaign, Luzzi tried to woo voters with what he called “gifts”—hundreds of loaves of bread and even a brand-new motorcycle, which he handed over to the area Imam. But when the votes were counted, Luzzi had lost by a landslide. National Unity Platform’s Francis Zaake won the election.

Fast forward to today, and Luzzi is still bitter. In a recent TikTok Live, he lashed out at Mityana residents for “eating his bread for free” and failing to vote for him. He even hurled curses at the entire electorate, blaming his defeat on their “ungratefulness.”
Tired of the endless insults and public shaming, the residents decided enough was enough. Over the weekend, they pooled resources to symbolically “return” the very items Luzzi had once offered them.

“We’ve bought the bread and the motorcycle. Let him come and take them back so he stops cursing us,” one resident said.
In total, the community raised over 1,000 loaves of bread, neatly stacked and ready for pickup—along with a replacement motorcycle. But Luzzi has yet to show up, leaving the townspeople both amused and annoyed.
