“This could be the most important show I’ve ever done,” he said. “It’s not just about me. It’s about lifting others as I rise. I’ve worked with some of the best musicians in the world, and now I want to pass that excellence on to the next generation.”

According to Katumwa, Isaiah Katumwa @30 will be an immersive experience filled with powerful performances, a spirit of mentorship, and world-class jazz. A key highlight for him is sharing the stage with some of the young talents he has nurtured over the years—a testament to his commitment to shaping the future of Ugandan music.

Joining him on stage will be an impressive lineup of Uganda’s finest artists, including Naava Grey, Michael Ouma, Michael Kitanda, and Joseph Sax, among others—each bringing their unique sound to a night that promises elegance, soul, and musical brilliance.

“This isn’t just a concert,” Katumwa emphasised. “It’s a moment in history.”

As one of the country’s most respected musical figures, Isaiah Katumwa’s 30-year journey has been marked by innovation, mentorship, and a tireless dedication to elevating jazz in Uganda and beyond. The upcoming concert will honour that legacy while spotlighting the bright future of the genre.
