On July 29, 2025, the Tourism Centre at Sheraton Kampala Hotel was transformed into a dynamic space of ideas and innovation as the Homes Expo 2025 officially launched under the theme: “The Future of Real Estate.” The invite-only event brought together key players in the industry for a thought-provoking day that set the tone for what lies ahead in Uganda’s property sector.
The event kicked off with a high-impact panel discussion from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, moderated by media personality Amanda Diana. The panel featured five industry leaders — Mr. Atinirmal G. from Dubai’s Yogi Group International, Moses Lutalo, Lillian Kiwanuka, Lazarus Mugabi, and Annet Babigamba — who delved into four crucial themes shaping the future of real estate: investment, design, modern construction, and sustainability.

Discussions ranged from using real estate as a hedge against inflation to the rising demand for culturally inspired architecture, and how green construction is fast becoming a necessity rather than a luxury. The panel also examined how Uganda can empower local investors while attracting responsible foreign investment — all while imagining what future cities might look and feel like in the next decade.

After the panel, the day evolved into exclusive one-on-one sessions between attendees and the Yogi Group International team, led by CEO Mr. Atinirmal G. From 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, guests had the chance to engage directly with the group behind some of the most sustainable and high-value real estate developments in the region. Mr. Atinirmal also delivered a keynote presentation, highlighting Yogi’s vision for real estate as a force for progress and prosperity in East Africa.

By evening, the energy in the room was palpable. Ideas had been exchanged, partnerships initiated, and a new level of ambition sparked. The event wasn’t just a launch — it was a glimpse into a smarter, more intentional future for real estate in Uganda and beyond.

Homes Expo 2025 is now officially in motion, with the main event set for 6th to 7th September. Industry stakeholders, investors, and aspiring homeowners are eagerly anticipating what promises to be the country’s most transformative property showcase yet.
The future of real estate is no longer just a vision. It has arrived — and it’s only just beginning.
