It was all style and flavour last Sunday as the Rise n Brunch: Summer Chic Edition lit up the Mestil Hotel gardens with an unforgettable fusion of rhythm, refreshment, and refinement — all powered by Tanqueray.

Brunch lovers turned out in full force for the ultimate RnB-themed celebration, where delicious food met bottomless Tanqueray cocktails in a setting as zesty and vibrant as the drinks themselves. The venue was transformed into a refreshing oasis of citrus tones and crisp elegance, capturing the bold, unapologetic essence of Tanqueray.

Guests were treated to a gourmet brunch experience accompanied by a steady flow of perfectly crafted Tanqueray London Dry gin and tonic, as well as the more refined Tanqueray No.10 — each sip echoing the brand’s premium character.

The soundtrack to the day came courtesy of Selector Jay and South Africa’s DJ Milo, whose return to Kampala didn’t disappoint. Their sets delivered a soul-soothing blend of early 2000s RnB classics and contemporary smooth jams, effortlessly keeping the brunch crowd grooving from afternoon till sundown.

Speaking at the event, Nancy Nansikombi, Tanqueray Brand Manager at Uganda Breweries, described the experience as a perfect reflection of the brand’s identity.

“RnB as a music genre evokes feel-good moments, and Tanqueray stands for exactly that — sophisticated experiences, bold flavours, and stylish indulgence,” she said. “The summer chic edition was another opportunity to showcase Tanqueray’s elevated personality through our signature serves and a citrusy aesthetic that speaks to our heritage and quality.”

The event also featured a hands-on mobile cocktail station where guests got creative, experimenting with Tanqueray to craft personalised drinks while exploring the gin’s unique flavour notes.

In a city that knows how to brunch, Tanqueray gave fans one more reason to rise, toast, and repeat.
