After a year long maternity break, songstress Sheebah Karungi aka Swagg Maama, made an electric return to the stage at the highly anticipated Return of the Queen concert, held on Friday at the Kampala Serena.

Sheebah brought great vibes, as she delivered an energetic performance at the sold-out concert.

Upon arrival, revelers took advantage of the beautiful blue-coloured themed setup, styled in the signature colours of I&M Bank- the official banking partner of the concert. Revelers were seen snapping away, at the setup that covered part of the parking lot, all the way to the stairs of Victoria hall.

Guests mingled with celebrities and popular socialites, setting the tone for what was to become a night to remember.

The screens on the stage opened up, as Sheebah made a grand entry, emerging from under the stage on a pneumatic stage lift, the first of its kind ever on a Ugandan stage- thanks to Fenon Production’s creativity.

Donning a shinny, bold, cowgirl superwoman outfit, that immediately set the mood for the night, Sheebah kicked off her set with fan favourites like Wankonana and Nkwatako, which had the crowd roaring with excitement.

Sheebah’s dynamic dance routines were elevated by a group of talented dancers, who added even more spice to her performance.

In a heartwarming moment, Sheebah’s mother, gracefully dressed in a white gomesi, was spotted in the audience cheering on her daughter with glee.

Later, Sheebah, who became a mother a few months back, brought her son- Amir on stage, drawing wild cheers and applause from fans.

She closed the show with her latest release- Somebody, leaving the crowd on a high.

The night also featured performances from a strong supporting cast that included Elijah Kitaka, Kataleya and Kandle, Fik Fameica, Winnie Nwagi, Crystal Panda, Yung Mulo, Grenade Official, Willar Star, Kabako, and Ritah Dancehall, among others.

In the audience were artists like Lydia Jazmine, Eddy Kenzo, and Shakira Shakira, among others, that turned up to show support for Queen Karma.

Known for partnering with standout themed events and concerts, I&M Bank continued its tradition by supporting The Return of the Queen concert.

“At I&M Bank, we believe in celebrating bold, progressive individuals who continue to shape culture and inspire others through their passion,” said Annette Nakiyaga, the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at I&M Bank. “Sheebah’s return was more than just a concert, it was a powerful statement of resilience and creativity, and we were proud to be part of it.”

Other partners included Juba Express, MTN MoMo, Afro Mobile, Victoria University, Trisha Safaris, Fenon Events, and Capital Radio.
