The Homes Expo 2025 over the weekend brought together leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to shape the future of housing and real estate in Uganda.

The event, themed “Access to Quality Living and a Pathway to a Green Future”, highlighted new trends, technologies, and opportunities driving the property sector.

Dr. Edwin Musiime, who launched his maiden real estate book “Real Estate. Rethinking Africa’s Housing Future”, emphasizes the central role of housing in shaping Africa’s future. In his book, he writes:

“Above all, housing is the foundation of dignity. It is where families dream, raise children, and build lives with meaning. Without decent housing, societies cannot flourish.”

A key highlight of the Expo was the official representation of the President of Uganda by Hon. Minister Judith, underscoring the government’s commitment to supporting innovation and investment in the housing industry.

The Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Judith Nabakooba, while presenting President Museveni’s speech, stated,

“Our vision is to build communities where every Ugandan can live with dignity, security, and opportunity.”

While celebrating 60 years at the Expo, the NHCC CEO Kenneth Kaijuka commended the expo organisers and emphasised that National Housing remains committed to delivering quality housing solutions to as many Ugandans as possible.

With record attendance and strong industry participation, the 2025 edition has set the stage for even greater collaboration and transformation in the years ahead.

The expo was officially sponsored by National Housing and Construction Company, Golf Residence by Fahkruddin, Plascon, Kafkas, River Group Agrica, and Chint alongside its brand partner, Oppein.
