Musician and presidential adviser on ghetto affairs, Buchaman, has opened up about his frustrations with the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), revealing that he feels betrayed and sidelined despite his years of loyalty and service.

Speaking in an interview on a local TV, Buchaman said he joined the NRM with hopes of transforming the lives of ghetto youth through empowerment projects and mindset change campaigns.

However, his vision, he claims, was derailed by a small clique of self-serving individuals within the system who allegedly prioritise personal gain over genuine progress.

“It hurts me, but that’s how the NRM operates,” Buchaman lamented. “You start something with good intentions, and before you know it, others hijack your ideas just to eat money. Those who want to do real work are pushed aside.”

The artist further alleged that decision-making is controlled by a few powerful figures who block initiatives from people they view as outsiders or threats.

He further stated that some individuals even go as far as misrepresenting him to the President, undermining his contributions.
