Smirnoff switched up this year’s Halloween celebrations at Somewhere Else in Naguru, turning the Rave to the grave  into a spine-chilling experience spiced with the versatile Smirnoff vodka.

It was a bold evening that saw creativity at its peak with spooky face art, head turning costumes which blended perfectly into the ghost town theme night.

Right from the graveyard-inspired entrance, it was clear this was no ordinary party. The gothic décor, dim lighting, and creatively haunting setup instantly pulled everyone into the Halloween spirit, with the cloudy skies playing their part in setting the perfect moody backdrop without a drop of rain in sight.

The guests fully embraced the theme, proving they had understood the assignment. Dark gothic ensembles, dramatic face paint, witchy-chic dresses, and other spooky yet stylish looks filled the room and made the Halloween vision come alive.

Sharing similar sentiments on behalf of UBL at the event, Zawedde Patricia, Smirnoff’s Digital Manager, highlighted the celebration as a reflection of the the brand ethos, bold, daring, and exceptionally fun.

“Smirnoff is a trendsetter, and this event alludes to it,” she said. “Through the current  We Do We brand campaign, Smirnoff is playing within creating spaces where its consumers can fully embrace their creativity unapologetically. Smirnoff is all about Fun and culturally relevant experiences that speak to the uniqueness of our consumers,” she ended

The music kept the crowd moving all night. DJ Rocky, Aweko Brain, R3ign Drops, Hibotep, and NRG’s DJ Faisol delivered a mix of smooth RnB, infectious Amapiano, and Afrobeat that had everyone dancing non-stop. DJ Salta, who hosted the event, kept the energy high and the crowd fully engaged, while NRG Radio’s DJ Faisol’s seamless mixes ensured the vibe never dropped.

The undisputed stars of the night were Authentic Voices Africa, whose gothic-inspired performances stole the show. Clad in dramatic costumes and haunting face art, they mesmerized the audience with a mix of music, theatre, and visual artistry that had everyone fixated, bringing the dark, mystical side of Halloween to life.

Adding a creative twist, the talented Artribe offered live Halloween-themed face and body painting and tattoos to create lasting memories, making the event a true celebration of creativity and self-expression.

With Rave to the Grave, Smirnoff proved once again that it’s more than just a drink. It’s a vibe, a feeling, and a way of celebrating life unapologetically and therefore cemented its place as the brand that honors the bold, audacious souls who set trends, lift spirits, and turn every moment into something extraordinary.

And true to this, Smirnoff did exactly what it does best, transformed an ordinary evening into an unforgettable experience, with a vibe unmatched.
