Baby Gloria, whose real name is Gloria Mulungi Senyonjo, has given fans an honest glimpse into her new life as a married woman. Two months after exchanging vows with her husband, Jonas Mbaleka, the singer says marriage has introduced her to realities she never imagined.

Speaking during a recent podcast appearance, Gloria compared her life before and after marriage, revealing that the biggest adjustment has been the permanence of the commitment. She admitted that before getting married, she had a habit of walking away from relationships whenever things got tough—a habit that no longer applies.

“When you’re just a girlfriend, you always have that escape plan. You can leave today and come back tomorrow,” she said. “But once that knot is tied, you’re not leaving because you’re annoyed. You’re in it for life. I loved the freedom of knowing I could walk away, but now I know this is forever. Marriage really forces you to make the right choices.”

Gloria also opened up about the unexpected responsibilities that come with running a home. She confessed that managing household chores without help has been one of her biggest challenges—especially the daily cleaning routine.

“I couldn’t believe I had to mop the house every day,” she said, laughing. “I even realised I can’t keep doing my nails all the time—they’re too expensive to mess up while wringing a rug. I’m now searching TikTok for smart mops so I don’t have to do everything by hand. You just have to be a smart wife because the dishes, the cooking… everything waits for you.”

Still, she noted that she genuinely enjoys cooking for her husband, adding with a smile: “Thank God I love preparing meals and receiving compliments.”
