NTV journalist Sandra Kahumuza Twinoburyo is celebrating a major academic milestone after emerging as the best-performing student in the MSc Africa and International Development programme at the University of Edinburgh.
Her outstanding performance also earned her the prestigious Sam Shepperson Award, given to the student with the best dissertation in African Studies.
Sandra joined the master’s programme last year under the Chevening Scholarship, a fully funded UK government award that enabled her to immerse herself in research focused on Africa’s development priorities.

Sharing her excitement on X, she posted:
“We came, we saw, we mastered that. Grateful to reach the very end of this Master’s journey and to finish with excellence. Thank you @CheveningFCDO for the opportunity.”

Her achievement has since sparked an outpouring of congratulatory messages from colleagues, viewers, and friends who have applauded her dedication and academic excellence.
