Veteran CBS FM presenter Meddie Nsereko Ssebuliba has reportedly and quietly exited the station after months off-air, despite earlier assurances that he was only on medical leave.
Listeners first noticed his absence several months ago, sparking widespread rumours about his fate. CBS FM later issued a public statement explaining that Nsereko had taken approved medical leave to receive specialised treatment abroad, stressing that he had not been dismissed.
However, new information now indicates that Nsereko and the station have mutually agreed to end his contract—signalling the likely conclusion of his long, influential run at CBS.
Nsereko has been a key voice on several of the station’s flagship shows, including Kiriza Oba Gana on 89.2 FM, Palamenti Yaffe on 88.9 FM, and the Sunday Alive and Kicking programme.
More details about his departure are still emerging.
