Bond 7, a whisky product of Uganda Breweries, has announced its sponsorship of the 8th Annual Uganda Hip Hop Awards, set for 5th December 2025 at the International University of East Africa. This partnership underscores Bond 7’s commitment to celebrating and nurturing the authentic spirit, raw talent, and unifying flow of Uganda’s hip hop scene.
This move aligns with Bond 7’s core purpose to create lasting bonds that connect the free-spirited. The brand’s ongoing “Our Bonds, Our Drink, Our Flow” campaign finds its perfect reflection in the hip-hop movement built on community and a culture of authentic expression. By backing this platform, Bond 7 celebrates the very heartbeat of the genre while honouring legends and elevating the next wave of artists, producers, and visionaries.
The press conference announcing the partnership was a celebration in itself, attended by industry legends like Babaluku, Navio, and Lyrical G, alongside partners Pepsi, NRG Radio, all hosted at the IUEA campus on Ggaba Road.

“The Uganda Hip Hop Awards speaks to the nation’s creative energy, and we are proud to support the culture up to and beyond December 5th,” said Hillary Baguma, the Brand Manager of Mainstream Spirits. “Our brand is built on shared moments and national pride, so aligning with these awards allows us to toast the artists whose flow inspires us all and strengthens the bonds that make our culture unique.”
Bond 7’s involvement goes beyond the stage. As a gesture of this partnership and commitment to the fan experience, the brand is ensuring the event’s flow is seamless and enjoyable, with every adult attendee who purchases an ordinary ticket receiving a complimentary 200ml bottle of Bond 7 upon entry.

Nathan Mubembe, a former Guild President at IUEA and Project Manager of the Uganda Hip Hop Awards, said, “Hosting these awards ensures the genre’s continued flow into the mainstream, and it’s a pleasure to do this for an 8th year running. Thanks to all the sponsors, fans and wider Hip Hop community. Come through on 5th December as we celebrate the sound that defines the soundtrack of young Uganda.”
The Uganda Hip Hop Awards provide a platform for recognizing the artists who are defining the nation’s sound and the flow that keeps the culture moving. Tickets for the awards are available via MTN MoMo and Airtel Money at IUEA on December 5th to celebrate the bonds that make Uganda’s hip hop industry strong.
