The Mungu Feni Foundation has won two top honours at the West Nile Quality Brand Awards. The foundation received the Quality Excellence Award – Platinum as the Best Community Development NGO in West Nile 2025, as well as the Best Local NGO in West Nile 2025.
The awards recognise the organisation’s strong commitment to improving livelihoods, promoting sustainable development and strengthening social unity in West Nile.
Awards organisers praised the foundation for its impactful programmes, noting that its initiatives have empowered communities and set a high standard for service delivery and positive change in the region.
Earlier this year, the organisation also gained regional recognition after being named Best Community Transformation Organisation in East Africa at the East Africa Brand Quality Awards, a sign of its growing influence beyond Uganda.
Speaking at the ceremony, the foundation’s founder, Feni Benard, described the awards as a major milestone. He said the recognition reflects the trust communities have placed in the organisation and the power of teamwork.
“This achievement belongs to the communities we serve. It is about trust, unity and working together to support young people and vulnerable groups. Even those without jobs come together through our programmes to create opportunities for themselves,” he said.
Mr Benard added that the foundation is currently running between five and six community projects, supporting more than 300 youths, orphans and underprivileged people to improve their lives.
He explained that the Mungu Feni Foundation was established to uplift vulnerable individuals and communities through charity, humanitarian support and sustainable development, guided by Christian values of compassion, service and faith.
The Mungu Feni Foundation is a fully local NGO that operates without external funding. It identifies community challenges, mobilises resources locally and provides direct support to vulnerable groups.
