Guinness Uganda has announced the launch of “Guinness Match Day,” a series of events designed to bring the excitement of football closer to fans across the country.

This initiative follows Guinness’ recent partnership with the English Premier League (EPL), where the iconic beer brand was named the official beer sponsor in June. This four-year agreement begins with the 2024/25 season and promises to enhance the football viewing experience with watch parties and events in bars, pubs, and entertainment outlets globally.

In Uganda, “Guinness Match Day” will officially launch in Kampala this Saturday August 17, at the Garden City rooftopstarting at2pm, coinciding with the start of the new EPL season. Football fans and enthusiasts will not only have the opportunity to watch their favourite EPL teams in action but also participate in various fun activities curated by the brand throughout the day.

Additionally, Guinness champions inclusivity by collaborating with the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA)to celebrate and support women who are making strides in the male-dominated sport.

Away from the big regional events, Guinness will bring the Match Day experience even closer to fans with activations in bars where most fans watch EPL games, across the country. There will be lots of prizes to win during these activations including Guinness customised merchandise, drinks and more.
