MP Odonga Otto stands ‘surety’ for Uganda Cranes, counsels players in Gabon

MP Odonga Otto is in Gabon. In legal speak, a surety is “a person who takes responsibility for another’s performance of an undertaking, for example their appearing in court or the payment of a debt”. In this case, Odonga Otto took due responsibility for Cranes appearance at Port Gentil against Ghana and cheered the team. He has taken his love and patriotic spirit for the Cranes to another level.

After leading the Uganda Cranes morale boosters in Port Gentil stadium, the youthful Member of Parliament in company of State minister of sports, Charles Bakkabulindi visited the Cranes at Du Parc Hotel and shared a meal and offered words of inspiration to them.

Hon. Odonga witnessed Cranes lose the opening group game and sought it wise to inject some morale to team, this time face to face. He shared the moments of his Facebook page.

“At hotel Du Parc Gabon with Uganda cranes players counselling them and telling them they have done us proud ….its not the end of the world and there is sill another opportunity..Cheers cranes”, he posted.

The jovial MP is a strong football fan and is the captain of the Uganda Parliament team.

Uganda Cranes looks forward to revive their AFCON hopes against Egypt tomorrow. The Cranes play the Pharaohs at 10pm.
