Controversial former senior presidential Advisor on media issues, Tamale Mirundi has stated that only the selfish would like to see the president prolong his stay in power. While appearing on weekly One on One with Tamale Mirundi show that airs every Tuesday on NBS TV, he sighted that lifting the age limit will be a sign of selfishness.
“You cannot support the president to stay in power unless you are selfish. The only reason I support Museveni to stay in power is if he leaves, I have to flee. I have not invested in the opposition. They are mafias,” Tamale admitted.
However, Tamale revealed that his love for the president to stay in power is personal. “I support Museveni for my security. If Museveni left power, you would see big men fleeing the country because they would be raided by the mafias in the opposition.” he explained.
