About 561 traffic offenders have been arrested in a new traffic police operation dubbed ‘Fika Salama’ on Masaka Road. The revelation was made by Commissioner of traffic Police Dr. Steven Kasiima today morning.

‘Fika Salama’ is a new traffic police operation laid down to deal with motorists who violate traffic rules.

The operation has been started on Masaka Road where a number of accidents have been reported in the recent past and it is yet to be carried on everywhere.

Kasiima says the operation will help curb increased road carnage, which is due to over speeding and use of drugs by reckless drivers.
