70 people arrested during Kampala city festival

Over 70 people were put behind bars after the annual Kampala City festival that attracted thousands of enthusiastic fun lovers yesterday.

Kampala police spokesperson Emillian Kayima said that the arrests made were mainly  minor incidences of simple robbery, theft and pickpocketing.




‘’Thorough screening of the suspects will commence today and those found culpable shall be served with due charges,’’ Kayima said.

The festival  which was officiated by  Kampala Capital City Authority Executive  director , Jennifer  Musisi  turned into the biggest party on  Kampala’s  streets.
